Dr. Wayne Mancari lectures this course. This course is an in-depth study of representative types of Psalmic materials. Attention is given to questions of historical setting and literary form. We will explore the message of the book of Psalms and why the Psalms are important to the Christian faith. The course will consider how Psalms build our theology through reflection on kingship and the promised Messiah and how it models godly worship through its historical record of Israelite song.
